Fake News Now: Part Two: Israel/Palestine

Liar liar fake newsWe are all aware of liberal media coverage re Trumpian “fake news – altermative facts”. However this is a very serious subject: The fake news coming out of the Palestinian Media and their supporters is often not at all reported or recognized in the Western Press. For this reason I am posting this recent article from the Gatestone Institute which spells it out very well and also explains why it deserves your attention if you are at all interested in the value  of the press and its human rights consequences.

Another worthy documentary on this subject Eyeless in Gaza was recently released.   I happened to see it in Manhattan when it was screened by the Student Society of St.Johm’s University. This is a quote from the Eyeless in Gaza website:

  1. In reporting the Gaza War of 2014, these quotes appeared in the international media: “They’re calling it a massacre”, “Children and civilians comprised the vast majority of the 200 killed”, “All innocent people. All of them civilians”, “Israel is targeting a number of different places including hospitals.”
  2. This information formed international opinion yet all the above quotes are incorrect. (emphasis mine) The purpose of this documentary is to analyse the reasons for these inaccuracies and lessons we can learn.
  3. We interview Palestinian civilians and journalists, Hamas leaders, UN officials, military analysts and Israeli spokespeople and arrive at troubling conclusions.

The film is now available on I-tunes for sale or rent. I challenge you to watch this documentary and share it with your  colleagues.

And now for something similar but different: Fake “hate crimes against Muslims in the US aiming to support claims of “Islamophobia” in the world at large. All of these cases are documented in this article: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/445495/bogus-hate-crimes-trump-conservatives
